Zlatan
Ibrahimovic has distanced himseklf from a move to the Premier League,
revealing he wants to end his career at Paris St Germain.
Ibrahimovic, 32, still has two years to run on his contract with the Ligue 1 club and insists he is happy to remain in France.
The
former Juventus, Barcelona and AC Milan forward has finished as top
scorer in each of his two seasons at the club and looks set to win a
second league title, but has so far failed to help them progress past
the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Despite
this Ibrahimovic, who is shortlisted for the French Player of the Year
award, is content in the French capital for the remainder of his playing
days.
He
told PSG’s official magazine: ‘Sometimes we read in the newspapers, or
elsewhere you hear rumours about a possible departure.
‘So
I say plainly: I am happy, very happy in Paris and I have absolutely no
intention to end my playing career anywhere other than in Paris.’
Ibrahimovic
has been sidelined with a hamstring strain since the Champions League
quarter-final first leg win against Chelsea on April 8.
But he has returned to training and is hopeful of playing against Rennes on May 7 when PSG can secure the title.
