Pep Guardiola has called on Bayern Munich to decide whether he is the right man to take the club forward after a turbulent week in Bavaria.
The fallout of Bayern’s 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Real Madrid has seen Guardiola personally blamed by the German press for the loss and despite this only being his first year in charge, there have been questions asked about his future.
Those questions will continue to be asked after Guardiola reiterated that his philosophy will not be adapted and he called on Bayern to decide whether he was the right man to take the club forward.
“I can’t train the players with other coaches’ ideas,” he said.
“Even after the defeat against Madrid, I’m confident in my own idea. “I have to adapt myself to the players’ qualities. Next yr we’ll play with my ideas. The board and club must decide if I’m still right as coach.”
