Maheeda's racy Instagram shut down

Nigerian singer Maheeda's Instagram account has been shut down.

According to Bella Naija, the controversial singer who has been regularly posting nude pictures of herself on the social network went too far when she posted a picture of male genitals.

Maheeda reportedly said the picture was of a fan "worshipping at her church on Sunday".

Instagram took the account down this week because nudity is a breach of its laws and regulations.

Maheeda has since opened a new account and praised herself for being a rebel on Twitter
